Garbage is collected in Woodlands Estates on Tuesdays and Fridays between dusk and dawn. Please do not place discarded items on the curb more than 24 hours prior to collection.  Trash containers should be stored (out-of-sight) once the garbage is collected.

There will be no garbage collection on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When regular garbage collection falls on one of these holidays, your garbage will be collected on the next regularly-scheduled pick-up day.

While we are used to the garbage trucks arriving very early in the morning, pick-up may occur at any time between dawn and dusk.  A maximun of six items (bags, cans, or bundles) may be set out at the curb each collection day. Garbage containers should not exceed 33 gallons and no single item should weigh more than 40 pounds. Bundles and branches should be bound or tied together and measure less than four feet in length. Individual branches should not esceed three inches in diameter.

Items not accepted for garbage collection include building materials, automotive parts, demolitionorial materials, appliances, items longer that four feet, and hazardous materials (batteries, chemical waste, electronics, freon, fluorescent lights, items containing mercury, pesticides/herbicides, waste oil, and waste paint). These materials may be disposed at no cost to you at one of Pinellas County's Hazardous Materials collection sites. For an up-to-date list of which materials may be disposed at these sites and a schedule of dates/times for collection, please visit: http://www.pinellascounty.org/utilities/PDF/mobile_collection_schedule.pdf and http://www.pinellascounty.org/UTILITIES/GETRIDOFIT/

If you have excess household, landscape, and building material refuse, please call (727) 572-6800 to make special arrangements for collection at a nominal, one-time fee.
